My name is Geir Stene, I’m Norwegian and work within the ICT industry as a digital strategic advisor.

I want to contribute to make the internet a better place for people and businesses, by adding my skills and experiences.

I’d like  to create added value for people using the internet in ways that makes greater sense.

I work with a variety of clients in terms of  reaching business-, concept- and communication goals.

I’ve specialized competence in portals for both internal and external target groups, cross-channel communication, collaboration and real-time communications . During the last years I’ve gained extended knowledge about social media solutions/ applications. I also have a special interest in semiotics and therefore concerned with both textual and visual communications.

I’ve been involved in establishing the web conferencing company meetcon and before that in building concepts for interactivity on TV, the start-up of an e-learning company, worked in one of the major Internet companies in the early days of Internet. Even earlier than that I used to work with film/TV and video productions.

FAQ : Is your blog a company blog?
Answer: No, my blog reflect my personal opinions.

FAQ : Why are you using a spear as image on your blog?
Answer: Well my name is an old Viking name “Geir” the meaning of the word is “the tip of a spear” so it feels natural to use an old viking spear as an image on my blog.
